vertical greetings

On an earlier post I wrote how some stamps and dies leap off the pages of Stampin' Up's catalogue. They jump straight onto the order form and out of my bank account and zoom into my craft room. Well, there are others that twinkle up at me, silently quietly beckoning. They take a bit more thought, but every time I go through the catty there they sit, smiling at me! Vertical Greetings is one of those friendly sort. I ordered it quite recently and have fallen in love.

some more die cutting!

flourishing phrases again!

Stampin' Up comes up with the best product! There are always a few that almost LEAP out of the catalogue and Flourishing Phrases is one of those items. I like the Petal Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder as well. The interesting thing about this type of embossing on a background is that you don't notice it right away, but if you were to create a card without it, it would look flat. Pun intended! It's all about texture! And steppin' it up!

Water coloring is so...so......so NEAT! SPECIAL! I don't know HOW to say it I guess! Water color has a mystique to it that other techniques don't. OK! I know that's just MY take on it, but since this is my spot to air my opinions, that's what you'll get! I used my aqua painter and re-inkers dropped onto a clear block as my palette. That's right! A clear block makes the perfect palette! It's washable and smooth enough to mix colors to perfection.
