good egg

Inside this card it says, "You are a good egg!" I can't beGIN to explain how wonderful it is to FINALLY have a chicken stamp set! And it's FREEEEEE in the Saleabration catalogue RIGHT NOW, with a purchase of $60CD. And the BEST thing about this set is this wonderful realistic Polish Rooster. That's right! He's a rooster, but there HAD to be an egg on this card....
(For those of you who know about these wonderful Polish guys, the designer of this stamp set obviously knew they cocked their heads to the side and she made this roo to do EXACTLY the right thing!)

laundry room technique Christmas card (LOL!)

 I have no "before" picture, but my Fave Five-yr-old stamped and colored this bird image with Stampin Write markers. And then the card disappeared. Several days later, when I went to launder the "whites", there it was under damp tea towels and wash cloths and the ink had done THIS!! The bird is pure white now and the ink is on the edges. Plus it's soaked all the way through to the back. I'd really LOVE to replicate it if anyone could tell me how!!! hahahaha! (No, the whites were ok!)

The Challenge Spark (Happy Birthday to You!!!)

Tara from Country Girl Creates challenged Jane from White Orchid to make a birthday card this week. While that's pretty open-ended as far as style and age, I figured I'd try and make a birthday card totally unlike anything I ever (well, usually) do. Something clean and simple, yet layered. I went through my most unused dies as well as chose a stamp set I seldom use. And this is the result!

Now you've just gotta love these funny and weird animals in the From the Herd stamp set!! They've called to me for months and now I finally ordered me this set! They make me feel jolly, especially that llama in the upper left corner!!

wow! what all you can do with Just Kidding!

Simply stamp the words and image onto Crumb Cake card stock, sponge a bit behind the lady and color the picture. I added flowers and the ferns from Butterfly Basics. Oh, and a bit of color around the edge. Easy. And I was rather delighted with the outcome!

Don't you just love this funny ol' lady from Just Kidding? I'll gladly order you this stamp set! It's a really good one!
